The itinerary

  • Your guide welcomes you in Edinburgh today, before you begin your journey towards exploring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Discover the ruins of Kilchurn Castle, ancien barracks of the Campbell Clan, and drive up to Glencoe, the majestic valley, home to the old MacDonald Clan. Overnight in Oban.

  • Hop on a ferry to the Isle of Mull this morning, and explore the vastness of its rugged landscapes. We will make our way to the Isle of Iona for lunch, and visit its abbey, the cradle of Christianity in Scotland. The rest of the day is dedicated to the exploration of Mull’s remote roads, before your arrive in the picturesque town of Tobermory of the night.

  • Today, after a short crossing from Tobermory to Kilchoan, you will visit the remote peninsula of Ardnamurchan. Discover its famous lighthouse, and drive along its windy roads, for a true “off-the-beaten-track” feeling. There will be an opportunity to explore Tioram Castle, and ancient stronghold, only accessible at low tide, before stopping in Acharacle for the night.

  • We leave Ardnamuchan this morning, on to the pretty fishing port of Mallaig. The ferry takes us to the Isle of Skye for brief visit to its southern Sleat peninsula, before we sail back to Glenelg, home to some of Scotland’s most ancient historical sites. In the afternoon, we drive to the picture-perfect Eilean Donan Castle, on to the spectacular drive to the remote Applecross peninsula.

  • Today, we drive Eastwarss, through the remote landscapes of Northern Scotland. For change of scenery, we will explore Glen Affric, a lush valley and conservation areas where we will discover ancient cairns and picturesque waterfalls.

  • Today, you will discover the shores of Loch Ness, home to its famous mythical creature. The scenic itinerary takes you to Glen Laggan, a wild and untouched expanse of land in the Cairngorms National Park. In the afternoon, visit Blair Castle, home the the Duke of Atholl, sitting at the heart of scenic Perthshire. We return to Edinburgh at the end of the day.
